She wanted to finally make good use of her kitchen nook and set up her own coffee corner. In this interview, she explains how open shelves and scattered coffee beans were transformed into a well-organized, cozy space, and why modular kitchen shelves make all the difference.
What was that moment like in your kitchen when you realized, “This space needs a stocubo shelf”?
I’d been wanting to make good use of the kitchen nook and set up a little coffee corner for quite some time, but somehow I was always missing the right piece of furniture. Everything was either too big, too inflexible, or just didn’t suit me or the kitchen. It was important to me that the space not only be used practically but also look nice. Then I came across stocubo and knew right away: This is where I’ll find what I’m looking for!

I’m actually more of a “try one more option” kind of person. In this case, though, it only took a few clicks to find the setup that fits this niche and meets my expectations. I played around with the colors for a while, but in the end I went with a classic look. Experimenting was especially fun because you can see right away how even small changes make a difference.
Did the setup work on the first try, or did you realize on the spot while setting it up, “The cabinet with the drawers would look better further down”?
Actually, the shelf is set up exactly as I had planned. It wasn’t until I started putting things away that I realized I’d be using the storage space differently than I’d originally thought. It’s only when you’re organizing that you realize what’s really practical in everyday life. For example, I’ve stored my plates and bowls in the drawers instead of in the cubes with doors. And if I ever realize that a different setup is more practical, I can easily change it thanks to the modular system.
The Before-and-After Effect: How has the stocubo shelf changed the atmosphere in your kitchen nook?
The corner now looks so much cozier and tidier. Before, the coffee maker, beans, and accessories were scattered about on open shelves, which always made the space feel cluttered. Now everything has its own designated spot, and the kitchen has become a place where I actually enjoy drinking my coffee in the morning. stocubo has really enhanced the space, and the kitchen even seems bigger as a result.

A kitchen has to be functional: What makes your stocubo shelf in this room special to you?
For me, it combines function and design. Everything is neatly stored away and within easy reach. At the same time, the corner looks high-quality and totally cozy. The shelf doesn’t look like a traditional piece of kitchen furniture, but rather like a beautiful piece of living room furniture. This makes the whole kitchen feel more inviting without sacrificing functionality.
Since needs change: Are you already planning to expand or remodel your kitchen area soon?
I can definitely see that. Precisely because the system is so flexible, I like knowing that I can easily expand or rearrange it later without having to start from scratch. If I add new accessories at some point, the coffee corner can be adapted very easily. This is also a big advantage if you move: No matter what the layout of your next kitchen is, the shelf can easily be rearranged.
What are the first three words that come to mind when you think of your new stocubo kitchen nook?
Aesthetics. Order. Comfort.
