Delivery times, shipping costs & packaging

Berlin:

Within Berlin, we usually ship by courier – smaller orders are delivered by DHL and large orders by a freight forwarder. After submitting your order, we will reach out to you to inform you about the expected shipment or to arrange a delivery date that suits you best. For Courier Delivery, packages will be delivered to your front door, for Freight Forwarding, goods will be delivered to the curb. The packaging material can be returned to us at Gottschedstr. 4, 13357 Berlin, by arrangement, as long as it is still usable.

Freight forwarding:

Larger orders, e.g. whole bookshelves or office shelves, are shipped by forwarding agency. Your goods are securely packed on half or one-way pallets (no reusable pallets) and are delivered to the curb.

As soon as we have handed over the pallet to the forwarding agent, you will be notified by us by e-mail. The local forwarder will contact you approximately 2-3 business days after the handover to arrange a specific delivery date with you.

Usually, the delivery will take place between 8:00 and 16:00. For an extra charge (only available for Germany), we can also arrange a fixed delivery on your desired day (50 EUR), by 8:00 am (300 EUR), 10:00 am (120 EUR) or 12:00 pm (70 EUR), so that you can better arrange the delivery with your schedule. Delivery to Switzerland

There are no additional shipping costs or import duties for deliveries to Switzerland. Swiss VAT is already included in the order price, and we handle all customs clearance. The prices listed are therefore gross prices, and there are no additional costs upon delivery.

Delivery to Non-EU Countries

For deliveries to Liechtenstein and Norway the German sales tax of 19% will not be charged. We take over the costs for the customs clearance on the German side for you. On the destination country’s side, there will be additional costs for import clearance and other processing fees. These will be billed to you by the shipping company along with the destination country’s sales tax. These additional costs depend on the size of the order and are typically around 100 euros.

Shipping costs abroad

At stocubo sustainability is an integral part of our entire value chain: from raw materials and product development through packaging to delivery. We design our packaging so that materials can be returned to the cycle after use. This conserves resources and reduces waste throughout the entire supply chain.

We continuously optimize our packaging solutions, guided by the requirements of the EU Packaging Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2025/40, PPWR), which will take effect on August 12, 2026. Our goal: as little packaging as possible, with the highest possible recyclability.

Packaging Minimization

Our stocubo Cubes are packed to fit perfectly - without unnecessary empty space or excess filler material. The boxes are tailored to the exact dimensions of our products. If a box is not fully utilized due to a specific order combination, we adjust it as closely as possible to the size of the contents.

Material Composition & Recycling

All packaging materials we use are recyclable. Below you will find an overview with the corresponding disposal instructions. After unpacking your shipment, please sort the packaging materials by type and use the appropriate collection system.

Corrugated Cardboard Box: Our outer boxes are made of 100% recyclable corrugated cardboard (PAP 20). They comply with international standards and make up the largest portion of our packaging. They belong into the blue recycling bin.

Corner and Edge Protection: To protect sensitive products, we use molded airpop® parts in certain cases. These consist of 98% air and 2% plastic polymer, a particularly material-efficient protective element. Please recycle in the yellow recycling bin.

Strapping tape: To seal and secure the boxes, we use PP strapping made of polypropylene (PP). It holds the packaging units securely together and is recyclable as a single material. They belong into the yellow recycling bin.

Protective film & adhesive tape: To provide additional protection for furniture surfaces and for stabilisation during transport, we sometimes use PE films (transparent, colored, stretch, or bubble wrap) as well as PE-based adhesive tape. They belong in the yellow recycling bin.

In addition to our shipping materials, we also use DHL GoGreen Plus for our shipments with DHL: By paying an additional fee per package, the CO₂ emissions from your shipment are reduced directly within the DHL transport network, for example, through the use of electric vehicles and sustainable fuels. The result is a measurably more climate-friendly delivery that is independently audited and certified.
