Frequently asked questions about our home office shelving
Which furniture is particularly suitable for the home office?
Since we usually don't take all the documents from the office back home, and as space at home is limited, most of us only need a selection of work from home furniture. Therefore, the table top by stocubo is particularly suitable for the at-home office - either on stacked cubes or the frame of your choice; the matching laptop stand, in which you can also simply store the wireless keyboard safely; a cube shelf - optionally with a hole for your printer cable; the rolling container from stocubo, where you can store everything important after work. If a lot of storage space is needed, drawers and inserts for the cubes are recommended. If confidential documents are stored here, you have the option of lockable doors for your filing cabinet.
What is the average delivery time I should expect?
The average delivery time is 5-7 weeks, as we do not have a warehouse and produce exclusively on demand.
How do I set up the furniture in the home office?
No matter if you buy 100 centimeter or 100 meter file shelves, book shelves or file shelves from stocubo: youu can easily assemble them yourself. Align the base plates with a spirit level, then stack the individual modules on top of or next to each other and secure them with the aluminum or plastic connecting clips (from the front or from behind, if you want to keep them out of sight). In theory, the assembly is quite intuitive to understand, even without instructions. You can find more about this in our notes on shelf assembly.
Does a shelf for the office have to be anchored in the wall?
Only if it is a particularly large office cabinet and the floor underneath is particularly uneven. Our filing shelves are actually self-stabilizing. For larger stacking shelves that exceed a height of 2.5 m, we recommend securing the top row with commercially available L-brackets. You can get these in any hardware store. This is also useful for sloping shelves.
Are stocubo shelves also suitable as hanging shelves for my office at home?
In general, our cubes can be used as wall shelves by means of invisible wall suspension. For this purpose, only two brackets must be doweled into the wall. However, the suspension is primarily intended to attach individual Cubes to the wall. To attach an entire shelf system, a good portion of craftsmanship is required: Because each individual cube must be mounted precisely using a spirit level and screws.
Is the home office furniture only available in white?
The core elements of our modules are coated white, but you can choose between a natural color or black edges. Color can then be added with doors and drawers in five pastel shades. A detailed list of questions and answers about our cube shelves can be found in our general FAQ.
Can office desks from stocubo also be used as corner desks?
Yes, the multiplex boards for tables can also be arranged in corners of 90° or more. Here you can choose between two sizes of plates, where even an L-shaped arrangement is possible. An option for cable drilling is also available. If you decide to use cubes as a frame, they can even be pushed completely against the wall on the corner side to save space. Alternatively, of course, all other racks can be placed under the panels.
Is home office furniture from stocubo sustainable?
We use 100 percent PEFC-certified, break- and bend-resistant wood from European forests. We also really care about sustainability in the production process and for delivery. This is shown in our in low-emission manufacturing processes, as well as through the use of green electricity and climate-neutral shipping companies. All this at a fair price!
