The modular shelving system for your children's room
When it comes to furnishing a child's room with some foresight, our shelving system is ideal, because it grows with the years that go by - cube by cube. Babies may need nothing more than a diaper shelf, while toddlers need plenty of storage space for toys and books. In the teenage years, from experience, we know even more space is needed! With stocubo you stay flexible.
One of the most important aspects when buying shelves for children is safety, because the shelves have to withstand a lot. All our shelves are characterized by an above-average breaking and bending strength. As we manufacture stocubo shelves from PEFC-certified material, they are particularly robust, stable and resilient. What's more, we produce all cubes locally in Berlin. This makes the entire manufacturing process particularly low in creating emissions. Good for the environment and the next generation.

How to build my shelf from stocubo?
This can be done in no time at all: first, lay the base plates on the floor and align them with the spirit level. Stack the individual modules on top and fix them with the connecting clips (from the front or from behind). Voilà - your new stocubo shelf is already assembled! The assembly is so quick that many of our customers even take the time to try out different assembly variants.
What fits in which cube?
Our 1:1 cubes are ideal for larger, bound books, for example biographies, atlases, illustrated books or magazines and journals. There is also enough room for file folders and records in the classic size. Outer dimensions: 35.6 x 35.6 x 35.6 centimeters, inner dimensions: 33.2 x 33.2 x 33 centimeters.
In our 2:3 cubes paperbacks and DVDs feel especially comfortable. Outside dimensions: 35.6 x 23.7 x 35.6 centimeters, inside dimensions: 33.2 x 21.3 x 33 centimeters.
The 1:2 cube can hold notebooks or CDs. Outer dimensions: 35.6 x 17.8 x 35.6 centimeters, inner dimensions: 33.2 x 15.4 x 33 centimeters.
Do I need base plates for my stocubo shelf?
It all depends on the condition of your floor. We recommend base plates with adjustable feet especially for old apartments and for all rooms where the floor is not completely flat. This applies to the classic shelf wall, as well as room dividers and larger chests of drawers. In addition, base plates are required if modules with doors are used for the bottom row. You can easily plan the use of base plates in the online configurator.
Is a shelf from stocubo suitable as a closet?
This depends on the type of clothing. This works if you are the jeans-and-T-shirt type, or if you want to store other practical clothes. If you have a lot of things that need to stay smooth, like long dresses or suits, we have you covered with our clothing rack.
Are the shelves from stocubo sustainable?
We rely on high-quality material, more specifically: break- and bend-resistant MDF from PEFC-certified European forests. From this, we build shelves in a very detail-oriented and low-pollution manufacturing process. We also work with climate-neutral shipping companies.
